Course Overview:

It is a legal requirement that all who may come across asbestos in their day to day work to have asbestos awareness training.

This course will help workers understand the risks associated with the material so that they can avoid work that may disturb asbestos and make them aware of the relevant legislation surrounding asbestos.

Course Duration: 1 day

Course Programme:

-Legislation relating to asbestos
-Identifying possible asbestos containing material (ACMs)
-Explaining the protocols concerning work with ACMs
-Determining whether they are:
- Putting themselves or anyone else at risk
- Enabling them to establish the correct course of action if they encounter ACMs

Certification:

To achieve the certificate, candidates will undertake an oral assessment within or at the end of the course.
