Abrasive Wheels

The aim of the 3 hour course is to enable candidates to work safely and provide an understanding of current legislation and promote awareness of the dangers and hazards of abrasive wheels and to offer advice and steps to reduce the number of workplace accidents and create a safer workplace.

Course Content

This course includes the following:

- The Use of (including Risks)

- The Inspection

- Maintenance

- Changing of the wheel

Equipment

The following equipment will be required:

- Hand Held Grinder/Cutter (petrol)

- Blade with Spanner (abrasive blade – not diamond)

- Selection of blades appropriate to both stone and metal cutting to fit both types of disc cutters including required spanners
