Course Detail

This site safety training course covers several different elements:

• For supervisors in need of an overview of their legal responsibilities as they apply to the safe management of a construction site, an introduction is provided to health and safety, environmental and welfare issues.
• Also included in the course is a focus on the occupational health problems that those working in the construction industry come across, and the role that site supervisors should play in this.
• A rundown of the structure of health and safety law, which pinpoints for site supervisors the role they play along with the site manager in keeping site safety at the highest possible standard.

As part of the course, candidates will also be taught about the necessity of method statements and how risk assessments are carried out. They will also be given a basic understanding of how to prevent and control fire, as well as how to control hazardous substances. Other elements covered will include construction design management regulations (CDM), working at height, accidents and first aid.
