How many of us have spent hours and hours trawling the web, comparing offers, looking for that perfect bargain?!
You need to find a good online booking company to find the best deal! This is the way forward to make life easier. When you look to book an SMSTS course online, there area number of things to check:
SMSTS training is available in numerous UK locations. Why is this important? Well, choosing a course in a location close to you means less travel time to and from the course.
As the SMSTS course lasts 5 days in duration, the saving in time and petrol money can really add up.
As SMSTS training is approved by the CITB (Construction Training Industry Board), it comes with the prerequisite that a certain number of hours be completed. To facilitate this, trainers offer SMSTS training in two main forms:
· Block course. This typically runs Monday – Friday across five consecutive days, allowing delegates to complete all the necessary hours study and the assessment in a full working week. This is a good option for anyone under time pressure and needs the qualification quickly.
· Day release course. Training providers run the course over one day a week for five weeks. This option is most suitable for those managers who need to gain their SMSTS qualification but cannot get away from their projects for long periods of time.
You will need to know whereabouts you can travel to and what your maximum budget is to make this decision.
There is a third SMSTS training option, the in-house course. An accredited trainer visits to deliver the course on onsite. This is most cost effective for groups of delegates over four; savvy companies often book this way as a considerable saving can be made by ordering a dedicated course.
The SMSTS course is now available as a 2-day Refresher as well as a full five day course. This is for those who need to maintain their qualification after completing the full course.
The two-day Refresher is available to delegates that have successfully completed the full course within the last 5 years. If their SMSTS qualification has expired, then they will not be eligible for the Refresher and will need to sit the full 5-day SMSTS course again.
When you have decided on booking an SMSTS course then usually the booking provider will send you an email with a booking link or take your booking over the phone.
You will need to pay the full amount on your card at time of booking to secure your place. The provider will then send you a confirmation of booking by email and you will receive joining instructions a week before the course start date. These will contain the address, a map and any additional information you will need.
